Penelope (Penni) Sue Nahley, R.N.
Layton - Penelope (Penni) Sue Nahley, R.N., beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 10, 2017.
She was born March 1, 1946 the daughter of Emil S. and Mildred Koehler Salen in Chicago, Illinois.
Penni married Paul David Nahley on August 19, 1968 in Tucson, Arizona.
Penni was a nurse by profession and cared deeply for people. She loved camping, going on long car rides, playing cards and crocheting.
Survived by her husband of 49 years, Paul (Dave) Nahley, six children: Michael Salen of Layton; Paula (Robin) Valenches of Layton; Cynthia (James) Wiley of Darrington, WA; Holly Bender of Roy; David Nahley of Layton; Christopher (Danielle) Nahley of North Carolina; two sisters, Jacqueline Kiersch of Arizona, Carolyn Kukral of Indiana; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delores Hill.
Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
