Penny Wolfe Ruiz, 58, left us to be with Jesus on November 1, 2022 after complications from strokes. She was born July 30, 1964 in Nashville, TN to Gale and Marlene Wolfe.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, J. David Ruiz, Sr. Together they had four children, who they lovingly referred to as the “Ruiz’s Pieces”, J. David Jr. (Tashina) Ruiz, Nathan Ruiz, Sabrina (Dezmond) Martinez, and Katelyn Ruiz; eight grandchildren, Aiden, Isaiah, Aubree, Taylynn, Zaylea, Akayliah, Christian, and Kyran. Penny is also survived by her siblings, Bob (Brenda) Wolfe, Sandy (Bill) Graves, Deanna (Cindy) Wolfe, Glenda (Sonny) Salas, and Sherry (Demitrius) Nelson; as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy Roybal, Amy Rich, Tessa Maes, and Irma Ochoa for their love and friendship, as well as their loving care. We would also like to thank the staff at Mount Ogden Health and Rehab, Lotus Park Assisted Living, Northern Utah Rehab Hospital and the Terrace at Mt. Ogden for their kindness and care.
