OGDEN a€" Perry B. Johnson, 90, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 in Ogden.

Perry was born December 4, 1920 in LaMoure, North Dakota, to Joseph and Helen Johnson. He was the youngest of seven children. Instead of taking the path of farming, Perry joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served his country in WWII.

After an honorable discharge, he married Lyla Wigen. They moved to Seattle, Washington where they raised three children. Perry was transferred to Ogden General Depot in 1960. He later retired from Hill Air Force Base where he had been an electrician by trade.

Perry and Lyla divorced. Perry married Marion Connell, taking on the role of father to her daughter, Marcia. Perry and Marion divorced. He later married Doris Aaron.

Perry was one of the most loving, gentle and kindhearted people God ever put on this earth. He passed this trait on to his children.

Perry was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Ogden. He had a strong Christian faith that showed.

Surviving are his son Dennis Johnson and his children, Anders and Sofia Johnson; his daughter Sandra Holbert, who was his loving caregiver; James Holbert, Marcia Smith, his brother George Johnson, and second wife, Marion. He also leaves behind his best buddy, his first wife Lyla, and his faithful dog, Charlie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Gary, his third wife Doris, three sisters and two brothers.

We miss you Daddy, you were the best Dad, ever. Rest in peace. God''s holy angels are taking you to see the face of Jesus. We will be together again in the world He has prepared for us. There will be no crying, sickness or pain, for the light of the Lamb shines in heavenly joy for all eternity there.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded.
