Perry K. Lovell Perry K Lovell died peacefully in his sleep, Friday, August 21, 2009. He was born April 3, 1928 to John Hyrum and Velda Perry Lovell . He grew up in Ririe, Idaho and served a mission for the LDS church in the southwestern states (Spanish speaking). In December 1950 he married his sweetheart, Larene Remington, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They became the parents of three sons and three daughters. Perry spent his professional years as a health physicist for Sandia National Laboratory and Lawrence Livermore National Lab and later as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Energy. Perry and Larene enjoyed their retirement in Boise, Idaho. Together they served as missionaries in the Vancouver, British Columbia mission. Perry enjoyed life surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an enthusiastic missionary and was an instrument in bringing the gospel into the lives of many dear friends. He was an example of courage and kindness as he faced the challenges of his final years. He is survived by his Eternal companion, Larene, his children, Russell (Janet) Lovell, David (Christie) Lovell, Greg Lovell, Leslie (Wade) Blau, Lori (Roger) Call, Lisa (Matt) Gulick, Laurel Lovell and Ken (Nancy) Madsen. Perry loved and was a great example to his 29 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, (Gail Richins) and two grandchildren Benjamin Lovell and Tashina Blau. Funeral services will be held at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. in Layton, Utah on Wednesday August 26th at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow that same afternoon at the Ririe Cemetery in Ririe, Idaho at 4:00 p.m. Family and friends can gather Tuesday night at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary from 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. “And it shall come to pass that those that die in me shall not taste of death, for it shall be sweet unto them” D & C 42:46
