Perry C. Nicholls, a devoted family man, faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and esteemed business owner and cosmetologist, departed from this world surrounded by his loving family and returned to his Father In Heaven on November 10, 2023, at 11:30 am.
Born to Thora and Delmor Nicholls September 1, 1957, he grew up in South Ogden, where he made lasting memories and lifelong friends.
Perry served an LDS Mission in Frankfurt, Germany where he learned to love new places, new people and how to overcome new challenges.
He graduated from Weber State University, with a degree in cosmetology, where he met and fell in love with his sweetheart, Barbara Jean Kimball.
They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1980. Together, they created a loving home and raised a family filled with warmth and laughter.
A pillar of faith, Perry served as a Bishop in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, exemplifying compassion and devotion to his spiritual community. His steadfast commitment and guidance touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of faith and service.
Perry took pride in his second family, the Nicholls and Company family. He took an interest in both their professional success as well as their personal and spiritual success. He created an environment of love and togetherness and wanted all to feel valued and appreciated within the walls of the salon.
Perry found joy in creating lasting memories with his family, from vacations in Florida, Mexico, fun cruises and any excuse to be around his whole world, his 18 grandchildren! The cabins at Bear Lake and Flaming Gorge held a special place in his heart, where he delighted in the simple pleasures of nature surrounded by those he held dear. WAKE, LAKE, SHAKE!
After a hard-fought battle with a rare and aggressive form a leukemia, Perry’s soul returned home to the welcoming arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ!
As we bid farewell to Perry, let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for a life well-lived, a family well-loved, and a legacy that will endure through the hearts of those he touched. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of his Heavenly Father.
