Perry Arthur Thompson

Perry Arthur Thompson, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Washington Terrace Care and Rehab, surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 9, 1918 in Monte Vista, Colorado to Perry Arthur Sr. and Engle Trena Rose Thompson.

Perry joined the U.S. Army Air Core and served during WWII.

He married his sweetheart, Ila Mae Sullins, on March 21, 1942 in Taos, New Mexico. Perry enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, fishing, and playing horseshoes.

He was a loving and dedicated father and husband, his family always came first.

Perry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ila Mae; a son, Gary (Susanne) Thompson, West Haven; a daughter, Loretta Heinz, Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers, Claus, Doug and Harold and one sister, Jennie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Friends and family may call Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
