Perry Clinton Wangsgaard
KAYSVILLE a" Perry Clinton Wangsgaard, 61, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in Kaysville where he had resided for 36 years.
He was born on May 26, 1950 in Coalville, Utah the son of Mads Clinton and Irene Crompton Wangsgaard.
Perry married Claudia Johnson on November 6, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War, and as an Explosives Ordinance Disposal Specialist. He worked for 43 years as a Civil Engineer at HAFB.
Perry was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Ward Clerk, Scout Master and Primary Teacher.
His hobbies and interests included automobile restoration, motorcycles, firearms and marksmanship.
Surviving are his wife Claudia, two sons, Tim (Kris), Lucas, Kaysville; and six grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood Road. Friends may visit family Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
