Pete Ospital

Pete Ospital, age 84, passed away on May 24, 2015 of cancer in South Ogden, Utah.  He was the husband of Veda Dearden Ospital.  They shared 63 years of marriage together.

Born in Ogden, Utah on December 31, 1930, he was the son of Peter and Julia Ospital.  He graduated from Ogden High School in 1948 and attended Weber State College.  He served in the US Navy for four years and was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Company for 31 years, where he retired in 1983.

He enjoyed golf, racquetball, traveling, and spending time with family.  He was a member of the Deseret Gym / Golds Gym for over 50 years where he will be remembered as “Pistol Pete”.

Pete is survived by his wife, Veda Ospital; brother, John (Winifred); his children, Steve (Connie) and Julie Bingham (Keith).  He has four grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren who he always gave whiskers to.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 6600 South, Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.   Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
