Peter Samuel Brooks

OGDEN – Peter S. Brooks died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Ogden, Utah on September 28, 2009. He was born November 19, 1960 in Kaiserslautern, Germany to Samuel N. and Brunhilde Johanna (Thom) Brooks. Peter grew up in California and graduated in three years from Leuzinger HS in Lawndale, California before moving with his parents and sister to Australia for three years. Upon returning to California he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served four years and was honorably discharged. Peter then moved to Ogden and married Janet Neubold. They had a daughter, Erica. They were later divorced. He worked at several aerospace-related companies in production control and contract administration. Most recently he worked in the retail food industry. Peter is survived by his daughter, Erica Lauren Brooks of Riverdale, UT; his father, Samuel N. Brooks, Washington Terrace; and his sister, Karen Leslie (Brooks) Montgomery of Ardsley, New York. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brunhilde (Hilde) J. Brooks in 2001. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends and family may call Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 S. Washington Blvd.
