Today the world shall know that Phayline Bandavong Vongbandith passed away on August 23, 2013. Born and raised in Luang Prabang of Laos, Phayline was the eldest daughter of Houmpheng Bandavong and Khamsao Saiyasith.
She received her high school education and later married a strong and wise man named Somprasong Vongbandith on April 15, 1970. Balancing her time between family, husband, career, and school she found the strength and perseverance to complete a Bachelors degree from Weber State University. Working diligently and selflessly for her family, she was entering into retirement after over two decades of infallible and faithful service to the Internal Revenue Service as a humble and dedicated mail clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999 and mother in 2012.
Phayline has left her legacy to her four children, Sirilack, Sourisack, Sirisom, and Siriphone. Her four grandchildren served as a great source of happiness and joy until her very last day. Her memory lives on through the traditions and skills passed on including her recipes for exquisite eggrolls and heavenly ham fried rice. Enriching all our lives through her sacrifice and passion for her loved ones, Phayline has given us all a love and grace that will be etched in our hearts for eternity.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Cremation entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary.
