Philip Von Fullmer passed away October 29, 2022, at his home in Hooper with his loving family at his side.
Philip fought many illnesses over the last several years, but it was Leukemia that finally took him. Philip was born the son of Melvin Bliss and LaVon Fullmer on October 30, 1957. He died one day short of his 65th birthday.
Philip grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah until he was almost 16. He made several lifelong friends in Pleasant Grove. At 16 his family moved to Roy where he went to high school and met the love of his life, Cathy Waite. Phil and Cathy married Nov 1, 1975. A month later he went to Boot camp having already enlisted in the US Marine Corp. After four years as a Marine, he was Honorably Discharged, and he and Cathy moved back to Roy. Soon after, Phil went to work at Hill AFB. Cathy and Phil lived in the Roy UT area for the next 42 years where they raised their four kids - Philip Jacen (PJ), Justin, Jennifer (deceased) and Nathan. Phil ended his 33-year career at HAFB as a Maintenance Planner for C-130 aircraft.
Phil loved the outdoors and he and Cathy went out whenever they could. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, boat, snowmobile etc. If it was outdoors, he was in! When he went the family went with him.
In 2010, his mother’s prayers were answered. He made himself worthy and he and his sweetheart went to the LDS Temple on Feb 17, 2010, and were sealed for time and all eternity.
Philip was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer, brother, Brent and both parents. He is survived by his wife Cathy, three children; PJ, Justin, and Nathan; grandchildren, Carlie, Devin, Zane, Jacen, great grandchildren, Sophia and Eloise.
