Philip Baker Young age 91 passed away peacefully at his home in Layton, Utah on May 29, 2020.
He was born July 10, 1928 in Ogden, Utah to Philip and Agnas Lucille Baker Young.
He married the love of his life Afton LaRue Young on June 2, 1950 in Layton, Utah. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft fuel specialist. He lived his last 66 years in his home in Layton, Utah
Surviving are his sons, Rick Bryant (Tina) Young, Layton; Philip Lorin (Irene) Young, Layton; daughter, Denice Young Connors, Hudson, CO; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, his brothers, Gary, Paul (Sharon), Steve (Nancy) Young and a sister Colleen Baker. Philip was preceded in death by his wife Afton, his parents, brother Dick (Betty) Young, two grandsons David and P.J. Young.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Ogden, Utah.
