Phyllis Ruth Miller Collier

LAYTON - Phyllis Ruth Miller Collier, 90, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at her home.  She was born November 30, 1925 to David Samuel and Leona Spillman Miller. She married Daniel S. Collier in June of 1944 in McCall, Idaho.

Phyllis retired from the IRS after 30 plus years. She was a lifetime member of the LDS Church and served in all auxiliaries and in many leadership positions. She was endowed in the Ogden Temple.

She played softball for the IRS and participated in IRS bowling leagues. She enjoyed crocheting, art, reading, camping and puzzles but most of all, she loved her family. She was a devoted mother and kept her family together as much as possible.

She is survived by her children, Terry D. Collier, Phyl D. Collier (Gladwyn), J.D. Collier (Stacey), Dana D Cornia, K.C. Collier; and was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents, son Mike L. Collier, grandson Phyl D. Collier, parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. where friends may visit with the family from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
