Phyllis Emily Zinn Crouch

Bountiful – Phyllis Emily Zinn Crouch, age 77, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at her home in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born May 13, 1938 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Overton and Norm Hodgson Zinn Simmons.  She married Richard W. Crouch on August 29, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She lived in Ogden, Salt Lake City and Bountiful.  She graduated from Ogden High School, and worked at Weber College, IRS in Ogden, and Surety Life Insurance Company in Salt Lake City.

She was a member of the Bountiful 14 th Ward for 43 years and served in various callings.  She is now with the loved ones who preceded her in death, including her youngest daughter Rebecca who passed away at 22 months from an automobile accident, her parents and three sisters.

Phyllis was talented in many ways.  One of her special talents was making porcelain dolls and teaching others as well.  She also was taught to crochet baby blankets by her mother and made many blankets to give to families with new babies and to new mothers at Lakeview Hospital.

She is survived by her husband; five children, Leslie Douglas, Michael R. Crouch, Lynette Gardner, Sandra Thain, and Dan; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 13, 2015 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may visit Sunday, July12th from 6-8 pm and Monday 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.  (Access is available to mortuary during road construction from 400 N. and 400 E.) Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Canyon Hospice for the excellent care they provided to Phyllis during the last year.
