Phyllis D. Sanderlin

November 15, 1926 – March 27, 2018

Phyllis passed away at the age of 91 on March 27, 2018 from heart failure.

She married William Sanderlin on August 11, 1946 they were married 58 years at the time of his passing in 2004.

Phyllis led a full and active life.  She always had a smile that would light up a room, and she would strike up a conversation with any stranger.  Phyllis worked at the California phone company for many years.  She also held several other jobs.

In the past 30 years she has enjoyed her retirement.  She spent most days volunteering at the two local senior centers.  While there she was a front desk receptionist and helped deliver Meals on Wheels.  Crafts were her passion, and she loved sharing them with others.  She enjoyed making cards to send to our active military overseas.  Her favorite place to be was playing pool on Wednesdays with the local senior men at the Center.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, her great-granddaughter Breeanna Maree, plus her two brothers and one sister.

Phyllis is survived by her sister Pat Whitemore, son Donald Sanderlin, daughter Sandi (Roy) Shelton, two granddaughters Dawn Shelton, Stacie Connelly, four great-granddaughters Amber Laughlin, Ashley Shelton, Morgan (Tim) Duke, Makenzie Shelton, and great-great-granddaughter Zadee Connelly.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 12 noon at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
