Pilar Allende Young

1924 ~ 2014

Pilar Allende Young passed away peacefully on January 19, 2014 of natural causes.  She was born in Burley, ID to Frank Allende and Teodora Idoeta on October 23, 1924.  They lived in Park City, Utah and owned and operated the Star Hotel.  After leaving Park City she moved to Ogden, and worked most of her life at Defense Depot Ogden.  After she retired she volunteered at St. Benedict and Ogden Regional Hospitals for many years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She was very proud of her Basque heritage.  Pilar was a dedicated mother and grandmother and devoted all of her time to loving and raising her children and grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her love and sacrifices that she gave to her loved ones.

Pilar is survived by her son, Hal F. (Lana) Young, Bountiful; three grandsons, Kerry J. Young, Ogden; Brody Young, Clinton; and Trent (Stefanie) Young, Ogden and two great-grandchildren, Gavin Young and Shyla Young.

Private services were entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park.
