Polly Ann Purhonen

Polly Ann Purhonen, a resident of Salt Lake City, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the age of 79.
Polly is survived by her children, Aviva Morger Johnson and Marc Morger; her brother, Steven Purhonen and grandchildren, Zachariah Morger and Cameren Morger-Schneider.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 10, 1942. Polly got joy from many things, among them: ballet, reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and talking with people. She had a sharp wit and rarely let pass an opportunity to inject humor into practically anything.
Polly lived a full life, living in many places such as Las Cruces, New Mexico; Detroit, Michigan; Toronto, Canada; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Her favorite place was San Diego, California where she lived for many years with her daughter. Eventually she returned to Salt Lake to be surrounded by family. Polly overcame many difficulties in her life and will be remembered for her full heart, her passion and that infectious laugh.
No services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
