Pollyanna Johnson Rees

Pollyanna Johnson Rees, age 91, passed away at her home in North Ogden on Thursday, August 4, 2016.
Born of goodly parents, John Henry & Marian Minerva Jones Johnson, on December 12, 1924. She was the 5th of 9 children.
She was a proud native of North Ogden and loved living at the base of Ben Lomond.
Pollyanna met her eternal companion, Ray E. Rees at Shupe Williams Candy Company. They had a “Sweet” courtship and married on March 27, 1946. From the union came three daughters, Jill, Dawn and Holley. Knowing her family was not complete, she patiently waited until their fourth daughter, Kami, arrived. What joy she brought into the lives of Mom and Dad.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pollyanna enjoyed her callings, especially in the Young Women’s program. She and her husband were sealers in the Ogden Temple.
Pollyanna enjoyed being a 4-H leader and enjoyed her camping trips to Monte Cristo. She was blessed to have wonderful friends, The Camping Cousins, Park City Gang and Dinner groups.
Pollyanna enjoyed yard work, walking and reading. She was a volunteer for 22 years at the Gardens Retirement Home.
She leaves behind three daughters: Dawn (Bob) Zielinski, Norco, CA; Holley (Hal) Jorgensen, North Ogden, UT; Kami (Curt) Cox, Kaysville, UT; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great, great granddaughter; her brother, Grant Johnson, Napa, CA; two sisters: LaVon Russell & Laura Berry of North Ogden, UT.
Pollyanna was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, daughter Jill, three granddaughters, and one great grandson.
The family would like to express thanks to Pollyanna’s niece, Cheryl Stoker, and nephew, Craig Berry. Also the IHC Hospice team, Ryan, Launi, Samuel and Anna Marie for the gentle care and love they have shown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS Chapel on 787 E. 1700 N. North Ogden. Internment will be at the North Ogden Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden.
The family will meet with friends Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Lindquist Mortuary in North Ogden, 2140 N. 400 E. (Washington Blvd.).
