Quoc Van Hoang

Quoc Van Hoang, 58, died Saturday, March 12, 2011 after battling cancer.

He was born February 15, 1954 in Vietnam, a son of So Thi Tran and Di Van Hoang.

Quoc served as a First Lieutenant in the South Vietnamese Army, helping the American cause.

He came to the United States as a refugee in 1993 with his wife and two children. Their third child was born in Ogden.

He is survived by his three children, Quang, 21, attended the U of U for chemical engineering; Thu, 19, attending the U of U for computer engineering; and Edward "Minh" 15, attending Roy Junior High.

Quoc worked tirelessly to provide for his family and was employed at Autoliv. He was proud of his children and knows they will succeed in life.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Cremation under the direction of Lindquist''s Crematory.
