Rachel Lynn Blood Huston

Rachel Lynn Blood Huston, 38, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Layton, Utah. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho. Rachel was adopted at 2 days old by her parents, Michael and Kathleen Blood.

Rachel lived in Los Alamos NM during her early years and moved to Layton in 1980 with her family. She was a graduate of Layton High School. Before her health limited her activities, she enjoyed participating in Special Olympics. She had a special love for children and animals and they responded with love for her in return.

She married Chad Huston in June, 2000. They were later divorced. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by her parents; her grandmother, Mary Blood; one brother, Eric Alan (Anne); three sisters, Wendy (Gary) Tidwell, Kristi Bone, Rose Carter; nine nieces and nephews and her sweet dog, Spirit. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Randal Max and Evan Todd; Grandparents Viola and Bill Packer and Philip Blood.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
