MCCAMMON, Idaho a€"Rachel Isabel Stegman Neiderheiser, 94, died in McCammon, Idaho surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 20, 2008.

She was born November 28, 1913 in Beatrice, Nebraska, a daughter of Peter A. and Jennie Scoville Stegman. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1931 and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Omaha, Nebraska in 1934.

Rachel married Paul Francen Neiderheiser on November 16, 1935. She lived in Ogden and Clearfield, Utah since 1937. Paul preceded her in death on December 24, 1979. She moved to Beavercreek, Ohio to live with her daughter and son-in-law Gail and Jim DeWall in 1983. Jim DeWall preceded her in death.

She worked as a visiting nurse in Omaha, Nebraska and for the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.

Rachel was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Xenia, Ohio. She was active in programs sponsored by the Greene County Council on Aging. Rachel was Past Matron of Beth Arabah Chapter #24, Order of Eastern Star, in Clearfield, Utah. She was a member of Lybia Nile Temple, Salt Lake City, and Sapphire Nile Club, Clearfield, Utah. She volunteered at Humana Hospital in Layton for many years. Rachel was loved very much by her family and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two daughters, Paula (Don) Farrell and Gail DeWall; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held will be held on February 26, 2008 at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Pocatello, Idaho.

Interment will take place later that day at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden, UT.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Intermountain Shriners Crippled Children''s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah or a charity of your choice.
