Rachel Marguerite Vigil

Affectionately known as "Rachel Babes" of Layton Utah was born 22 December 1992 in Salt Lake City, UT and died 1 December 2009 at the age of 16.

Rachel was a Student Body Officer at Layton High School and was involved in many clubs and organizations including the Shades Magazine and Reflections Club. She was also an AP student on the high honor roll and in the Laurel''s class presidency.

Rachel loved art, painting, jewelry, music, reading, riding her bike, tie-dye, working at the Royal Jade, and spending time with her family, friends and cat.

She is survived by her mother Candace Vigil and by her father Richard Vigil and his wife Ruth Ann, and her sisters Jami, Katie, Heather, Jenny, and Jessie, and her brother Nick, as well as 7 nieces and 5 nephews.

Rachel embraced life. She had a natural compassion and sensitivity towards others which made her a joy to be around. She will be missed especially for Sunday dinner and games.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 855 E. Mutton Hollow. Friends and family may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Rachel was a charitable giver, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account at America First Credit Union in the name of Rachel Vigil. The funds will be distributed to her favorite charities.
