RaDene Stephens Meikle

RaDene Stephens Meikle, 74, of Syracuse, Utah passed away on August 17, 2024, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. RaDene was born May 24, 1950, in Logan, Utah, to Roger Leroy and Barbara Linford Stephens. She was the oldest of seven children. After graduating from Logan High School, she attended Utah State University where she studied Speech Therapy.

In 1972, RaDene was sealed to the love of her life, Brent Henry Meikle, in the Ogden Temple. Together they raised six wonderful children, instilling in them the values of education, service, and faith. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. RaDene loves the gospel and served in many callings, often involving music. One of her favorite callings was to play the organ in the temple.

Her two greatest joys in life were her family and music. She devoted all her time to being a mom and creating a Christ-centered home where others loved to gather. RaDene is a gifted pianist and organist, and her musical talents blessed the lives of many. She was determined to have all of her children play the piano. 

RaDene has always been a friend to everyone she meets. She was always ready to rescue anyone in any location at any time. She was a woman of many talents: an expert gardener, seamstress, family historian, Meikle Cookie baker and organizer.

RaDene is a dedicated grandmother, she is their biggest cheerleader, never missing a soccer game, concert, or school event.

RaDene will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her great sense of humor, her unwavering support of her family and her ability to make everyone feel special. 

RaDene is survived by her beloved husband Brent Henry Meikle, her children Jennifer (Jason) Meikle, Stephen (Emily) Meikle, Matthew (Olivia) Meikle, Jonathan (Emily) Meikle, Melissa Meikle Clark, and Michelle (Carlos) Meikle Sigaran, and by seventeen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm at the Syracuse Legacy Park Stake Center, 2024 South 1475 West, Syracuse UT. Friends may visit with family prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:30 am. Interment will be held at the Logan Cemetery at 4:00 pm.
