Ralph Lyle Anderson, Jr.

11/5/1946 – 1/29/2016

Ralph returned to his Heavenly Father on January 29th following complications from cancer. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Ralph Lyle Anderson, Sr. and Wilma Mary Holmes. He was the oldest of four children: Patricia Anderson, Diana Bishop, and Darrell Anderson. He obtained a bachelor of science in geology from Indiana University and embarked on a career that would take him around the globe.

Ralph was a successful entrepreneur who sought out business opportunities that would benefit his family and was always looking for ways to include his family in his endeavors. Ralph was thoughtful, considerate, and sensitive to the needs of others. He was able to see the humorous side of life and those close to him would often remark that he had ‘the gift of gab.’

His love for the outdoors was manifest in a variety of activities including hunting, fishing, boating, camping, golfing, and woodworking. He also enjoyed tinkering on model airplanes and could frequently be found in his garage working on his hot rod.

He always longed for a quieter life and settled in Duchesne where he found great success as a salesman for Uinta Machine. He spent his last 30 years in Duchesne and was surrounded by the mountains and wildlife that he so loved. He held many positions in the LDS church and served diligently wherever he was called.

He was a kind and generous man who loved his family unconditionally: children John (Christina) Anderson, Beth (Kirk) Ward, Warren (Chelsea) Anderson, and Mary Anderson. He also loved his grandchildren: Mason, Katie, Kyle, Gauge, and Tristan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 13th at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center, 901 N. 500 E. Duchesne UT. 84021.  Friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Utahn Cemetery.
