Ralph (Butch) Harper born July 30, 1940 to Ralph and Fay Harper passed away peacefully after a battle with respiratory COVID difficulties on January 20, 2024.
Ralph’s younger years were spent growing up in Garfield, Utah, followed by his teenage years in the east side of Salt Lake City in the avenues, graduating from East High School advancing on to Utah Technical College graduating in 1968. Ralph started his career at Hill Air Force Base in 1967, retiring after 52 years of service in 2019. In addition to his five decades of civil service, he also served 12 years in the Navy Reserve for a total of 64 years of federal service.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents. Butch is survived by his caring wife Chae Harper, brother Ron Harper, many nieces and nephews whom loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.
Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City, Utah.
