Ralph "Chris" Martell Christensen

Ralph Martell “Chris” Christensen, 89, died Saturday, July 31, 2010. He was born May 1, 1921 in Downey, Idaho to Ralph and Margaret Bybee Christensen, the first of eight children. Chris served in the United States Marines during WW II. On April 14, 1952, he married Ellen “Mickie” O’Brien. They owned farms in Downey and Grace, Idaho until his semi-retirement, when they moved to Heyburn, Idaho. He also worked as a potato inspector. Chris is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mickie; children, Judy Donnelson, Rod (Donna) Christensen, Doug (Cathy) Christensen and Nancy (Brian) Logan; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held at the Country Pines Independent Living Community at 1706 West 1800 North, Bldg G in Clinton on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local food bank.
