Ralph Edward Cook

Ralph Edward Cook, 88, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at his home from natural causes.
He was born August 3, 1929 in Appleton, Arkansas to Joseph E. and Ofie L. Armer Cook.
Ralph honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Defense as a missile technician at Hill Air Force Base, most notably with the Peacekeeper Missile Program. Ralph had many certificates, honors, and letters signed by every U.S. President who served during his adult life. He enjoyed following the news and politics closely.
He met Helen, the love of his life, on a blind date while serving in The United States Navy in California. They married on July 28, 1951 in Huntsville, Utah. On August 19, 1979, they were married for time and all eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters. Ralph was widowed April 14, 2017. He was the definition of a devoted father and husband. Ralph and Helen were The Rock of Gibraltar, helping family through some tough times that they will forever be grateful for.
Ralph is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ball and Debbie K.(Orr) Cook; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Sandy) Cook, and sister Brenda (Lee) (Belflower) Cook. Ralph spoke fondly of his family in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and longed to visit them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen; his daughter, Terry Lynne Morse; two son-in-laws, Steven Ball and David Morse; his brothers, Donald, Carl, and J.E.; and his sisters, Faye and Carlene.
Funeral Services will be held at on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Huntsville Cemetery, UT, where military honors will be accorded.
