Ralph Richard Gray

Ralph Richard Gray passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015.  He was born on November 24, 1929 in Ogden, Utah.  He attended Ogden High, graduated from University of Utah, and earned a Master Degree in Biochemistry from George Washington University in Washington D.C.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a fulltime mission in post-war Germany from 1949 to 1952.

Richard married Norma Claire Buchanan on December 26, 1962 in Salt Lake City.  Their marriage was later sealed in the Washington D.C. LDS Temple.

He worked for the Federal Government at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Washington D.C.

During his time away from scientific research, he enjoyed gardening, visiting the many historical sites in Washington D.C. area.

Richard is survived by his wife, Norma Gray; son, Richard L. (Jennifer) Gray; daughter, Linda L. Gray-Minjares; seven grandchildren, and sisters, Bonnie Cheney and Nanette Jeffs.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchild, Jacob Minjares.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Country Hills Ward, 1401 Country Hills Dr., Ogden.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
