Ralph Jacobsen, 53, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his childhood home in Bountiful. He was the son of Donald and Janet Hyde Jacobsen, born in Salt Lake City, UT on April 24, 1960. He married Rachel Chambers on August 24, 1984 in Salt Lake City.
Ralph loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandkids. He liked projects around the house and building things. Ralph was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission in Philadelphia. He graduated as an Engineer from Weber University and later obtained his Masters Degree. Ralph worked for the Boeing Company for 27 years and was passionate about his work in the defense industry.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, son Tyler Aaron and daughters: Melissa Rae (Christopher) Kelley, Kristen Adele (Andrus) Rock; grandchildren: Kaplan and Parker Kelley and Jordyn Rock; sisters: Joy Jacobsen, Sue Jacobsen, Kathy Norton and his father, Donald Jacobsen.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the LDS Inverness Syracuse Ward, 3426 Augusta Dr., Syracuse, UT. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Lakeview Memorial Estates in Bountiful, UT.
