Ralph Louis Petterson
Ralph Louis Petterson, 68, died on Saturday, November 19, 2016, of natural causes.
He leaves three sisters: Jean Shrader, Louise Johnson, and Rosalie Dvirnak, along with four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Petterson and mother, June Pounds Petterson.
Born and raised in Utah, he was a lifelong resident of Ogden.
Ralph graduated from Bonneville High School and attended Weber State College. He was gifted in design and architecture and was skilled as an architectural draftsman. For many years, he was the only draftsman that still drew by hand at the highly regarded James Carroll and Associates architectural firm in Salt Lake City.
Ralph had a love of the gospel music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and the old family pump organ. He had an incredible memory for details and family history. He also had an amazing sense of humor, inherited through his father. Family was immensely important to him.
His family and friends cherished his abilities with music, his sense of humor, his wisdom in design, and especially his trust in God in the midst of life's struggles and difficulties. He will be greatly missed, but we know he is at peace with Jesus now.
A memorial service will be held for Ralph L. Petterson on April 1, 2017.
Ralph passed away too soon, on November 20, 2016, at age 68 and is greatly missed.
His sisters, Jean Shrader, Louise Johnson and Rosalie Dvirnak would welcome his family's and friends' presence to remember and honor our brother. A short graveside service will be handled by Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary at the Ogden City Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017. From 2 to 4 p.m., there will be a gathering in Ralph's honor at The Union Grill, 315 24th Street, Ogden.
