Ralph C. Stewart

Ralph C. Stewart, 69, passed away comfortably at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 with his family by his side. He is the son of Morris and Edna Wright Stewart, born on July 3, 1945 in Payson, Utah. He grew up in Wyoming, Idaho, and Ogden and settled in Liberty, Utah.
He married Barbara Lee Powell on June 1, 1968 in Ogden, Utah.
Ralph was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a dependable and dedicated truck driver for over 48 years for Staker/Parson Company.
Ralph enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and yard work. He loved spending time with his family deer hunting, fishing, and camping.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Bobbie, Liberty; son, Rick Stewart of Liberty; daughter, Billi Lynn (Chris) Thornock of Ogden; four grandchildren, Colbey, Cassidee, Brittnee, and Braden all of Ogden; mother-in-law, Grace Record, Layton; brothers, Joel, Dale, and Don Stewart; and sisters, Elsie Thomas and Ludene Fields. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Larry, Charlie, John, and Jim; nephew, Johnny; niece, Julie Dean brother-in-law, Dick Powell; sister-in-law, Jackie Powell; and father-in-law and his wife, Richard and Jean Powell.
A viewing will be held on Sunday from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Funeral services will also be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Military Honors to follow at 7 p.m. Cremation to follow services.
