Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Friend, Ralph Eugene Treseder, 85, passed away in Grand Junction, Colorado on Monday, March 25, 2013. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Ralph Bernard and Melba LaVern Robbins Treseder. Ralph was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

Three days after graduating from high school, Ralph was at boot camp. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska.

After the war was over, he returned to Utah and married Alpha Oreen Glidewell on June 4, 1948 in the Logan LDS Temple. Alpha passed away on February 8, 1991. He was able to find love again and married Betty Lue Jensen Hoover in Elko, Nevada on June 9, 1997.

Ralph was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had the opportunity to serve as a German Transcription Service Missionary.

He worked in circuitry maintenance for Mountain Bell. He was president of CWA, Communication Workers of America.

Ralph enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening. His greatest pleasure was being around his grandkids.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Betty Lue Hoover of Grand Junction, CO; sons, Robin E. Treseder and Sterling Dana (Jolene) Treseder of Ogden; daughters, Tamra (Blaine) Richards and DeAnn (Greg) Vause of Ogden; stepsons, Dan Hoover, Dick Hoover, and Rick Hoover all of Grand Junction; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Sterling Treseder, and sister, Karen Bateman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alpha, son, Doug R. Treseder and 3 sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

A very sincere thanks to Betty and her family for taking such excellent care of our Dad.
