OGDEN/LAYTON On February 1, 2009 we lost the heart of our family. He was born April 20, 1926 in Denver, Colorado where he married Grace Valentino, they later divorced.

He married Viola Trujillo in 1950 and moved to Utah in 1953.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Survived by four lovely daughters and one amazing son: Karen (John Hoke), Layton; Toni (Jeff) Wehus, West Point; Niki (Mike) Cussimanio, Clearfield; Patty Marzano, Denver, CO; George (Teresa) Vendegnia, Denver, CO, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and his dog Vinnie.

Preceded in death by his wife Viola Vendegnia, father George Vendegnia, mother Mary Anselmo, step-mother, Mary Larusso and brother Mike.

Ralph enjoyed working on classic cars and hitting the discount stores. He was always cooking and even if you were not hungry, you were eating.

Ralph had a magnetic personality, not only was he your favorite but you were his.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
