Ramon Floid Warner, 85, passed away peacefully April 21, 2011 in Ogden.

Born March 31, 1926 in Fillmore, son of Floid and Gladys Jackson Warner, he grew up in Fillmore and made the Army a career.

He retired in 1970 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served in three wars. He also worked for 17 years as a civil servant.

He married Eloise George in 1950 in the Manti Temple. She preceded him in death in 1986. He married Nancy Garn McCulloch in 1987 in Clearfield. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including bishop. He was a dedicated home teacher and most recently chair of the Cub Scout Committee.

He will be dearly missed. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to tease, joke, and play.

His children are Tawnya and Robert Palmer of Clearfield; Gradon Warner of El Cajon, CA; Jan and Dan Balls of Hyde Park; Russ and Teresa Warner of Springville; and Michele and Greg Fitzgerald of South Weber. His stepchildren are Curtis and JoDee McCulloch of West Point and Kaylene Moss of Phoenix, AZ. He has 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services are Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Lincoln Ward, 590 W. 2000 No., Layton. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Fillmore, Utah Cemetery.
