Ramona N. Poulsen

March 18, 1921 ~ June 8, 2017

Our loving mother, Ramona N. Poulsen, 96, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017 at the Stoney Brooke Care Center. Ramona was born in beautiful Paris, Bear Lake County, Idaho, to Johanna Scheidegger and Fredrick Nutt. She was 4th of 8 children. She attended Fielding High School.

Ramona married Francis Poulsen on October 5, 1939 in Soda Springs, Idaho; they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. She has been a widow for 42 years.

She has been a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was truly our pioneer mother. She had the opportunity of working for 25 years at the LDS Bishop’s Storehouse, and the last two years as a Service Missionary. She was very talented in crochet and embroidery. At the age of 67 years she got her first driver’s license.

Ramona is survived by her three children, Juanita (Don) Hopfenbeck, Francis Lloyd (Karyn) Poulsen, and Randall Scott (Eileen) Poulsen; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Bessie and Ethel.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
