Ramona Palmer Wiser
March 27, 1925 ~ January 13, 2022
Ramona Palmer Wiser, 96, passed away peacefully in her home on January 13, 2022. She was born March 27, 1925, in Samaria, ID, the daughter of David Clair and Sevella Mansfield Palmer. She married the love of her life, Lyman S. Wiser on November 24, 1944 in the Logan, UT Temple. They were married for 72 years, and together created a life and a home filled with joy and service.
Ramona grew up in Preston, ID, the eldest of five children. After graduating from Preston High School she attended Stevens-Henager Business College where she honed her secretarial skills (she was known for her excellent short-hand), and worked as a private secretary at several prominent businesses in the Salt Lake and Ogden areas.
Ramona was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions throughout her life. She loved helping her two boys with scouting, and earned two eagle pins for her efforts. Later in life, she and Lyman especially enjoyed serving as ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple from 1995 to 2008.
She is survived by son, Hal (Kim) Wiser; brothers, Douglas (Joan) Palmer and Bruce Palmer; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clair; sister, Clytia; son, Kevin; and her husband, Lyman.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12 p.m. at Preston City Cemetery, Preston, ID. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84401
