Randall Dean Hamilton

Randall Dean Hamilton, age 63, went home to live with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was resting peacefully, with his wife by his side at home in Layton when cancer took his life here on earth. Randall was born September 9, 1949 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Dean and Betty Jean (Dutson) Hamilton. He graduated from Weber State University and was a Computer Programmer for 35 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid genealogist and loved to do that more than anything else. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Family History Consultant, Financial Clerk, Ward Mission Leader, councilor in the Bishopric, and on the High Council. His favorite calling was Family History Consultant where he could help anyone with their genealogy research. He loved getting to know people and serving those he knew.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Stott) Hamilton and four children: Jennifer Lynn (Arno) Haufe, Daniel Dean (Laura) Hamilton, Tonya Marie (Kelly) Ferrin, and Diana Kay Hamilton. He is also survived by his father and mother, Dean and Betty Jean (Dutson) Hamilton, two sisters, Sheila Rae (Randy) Lowe, and Rhonda Marie (Scott) Chesley, and eleven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Layton West Stake Center, 1715 W. 1600 N., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
