Randy Scott Johnson

November 7, 1954 ~ April 26, 2019

Randy Scott Johnson, 64, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at home.

Randy was a gifted athlete, competitive golfer, a champion water skier, an avid outdoorsman, and a great conversationalist. He loved Utah, Utah football, basketball, and horses. He loved the outdoors, his family, good friends, and the simple pleasures of life. He was loved and admired by both family and friends, but mostly he will be remembered as a good honest hard-working man.

He was a master grower at Johnson’s Greenhouse’s in Harrisville and 12th and Adams in Ogden, Utah. His beautiful flowers were greatly prized and he was a force in the industry. He will be greatly missed by his customers, whom he loved to chat with.

He was enormously proud of his son Cole. They shared a great love of the outdoors; they would often go camping and hunting together. They loved trucks, good jokes, four-wheeling, and seeing animals in the wild.

Randy is survived by his wife Dawn and his son Erich Cole Johnson. Randy was born November 7, 1954 to Frank J. and Shirley A. (Fryer) Johnson in Pepperrell AFB, St. John’s Newfoundland.

His loss will be deeply felt by all those who knew him, may he rest high on the mountain.

An open house will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at his home, 3800 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah #286. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

Instead of sending flowers, the family has asked that you please plant flowers in his honor, Randy would have liked that.
