Randy W. Smith TAYLOR – Randy William Smith, 49, died Saturday, July 26, 2008. He was born February 27, 1959 in Ogden, a son of J. W. and Karen Geneal Harrison Smith. On August 28, 1997, Randy married Wendy Kinterknecht in South Lake Tahoe, California. He lived in Utah and California. Randy was a superintendent of heavy construction and was a member of the Carpenters Union #152. He was a very kind and compassionate person and a good boss to work for. Randy loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and being a master craftsman. He was a wonderful husband and father and always wanted everyone he was associated with to be happy. He loved his family and was a mentor and father figure to many. He was a very loving and dedicated son. Randy never knew a stranger – everyone was his friend. Surviving are his wife, Wendy Smith, his children, Luis Smith, Ashley Smith, Colton Gray, Paige Smith, Josh Gray, and four grandchildren, Zoe Smith, Mila Smith, Alex Smith and Lily Crook. Also surviving are his mother, Karen Harrison Morris, of Ogden; three brothers, Brent Dee (Rebecca) Smith, Redding, CA; Jeffrey Thareld (Deone) Smith, Eden; Brett (Jessica) Smith, Ogden; one sister, Danielle (Jim) Downey, Nebraska; and numerous nephews and nieces. Randy was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Smith, brother, Chad Joseph Smith, and grandparents, M.B. Smith, Melba Smith, William Mummey and Beverly Mummey. “We love each other with heart, body and soul, and I’ll wait for you so we can be together again one day”. We all love you. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
