Ratana Raasch

1947 ~ 2021

Ratana Raasch, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on April 29, 2021 at her home in Layton. Ratana was born April 1, 1947 to Kampan and Tan Gomed in Lampang, Thailand.

Known by friends as “Ann” she had an outgoing personality and loved to see the joy people experienced tasting her fabulous cooking, however she unfortunately did not share her recipes with her children. She was always concerned about others and wanted to be sure that visitors never left hungry.

She was a longtime employee of Clover Club Foods in Kaysville and later at Lofthouse Foods in Clearfield, Utah.

Ratana is survived by her husband of 45 years, Daniel, two daughters, Vasana (Chaudhry) Faheem, Manassas VA. and Angela Raasch, Layton. She was a grandmother to five grandchildren, Michelle, Jessica, Alexis, Ashley, Kayden, along with three great-grandchildren, Malia, Micah and Jayden.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to The staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the WAT DHAMMAGUNARAM of Utah Thai Temple at 644 E. Gordon Avenue, Layton, Utah 84041.
