Ray Alexander Barlow

Ray Alexander Barlow, 86, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014.
He was born February 17, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, a son of John Frederick and Lavina Ann Ririe Barlow.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On June 12, 1957, Ray married Kay Roberts in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a Secretary for the Elders Quorum and High Priest Quorum. He also served as Ward Clerk for several years. He was known to offer a hand shake to everyone and knew most by their names.
He was employed at Hill Air Force Base as a Parts Specialist. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He loved his family very much and loved time spent with them. Ray was a wonderful man who was kind and friendly to everyone.
Ray is survived by his wife, Kay; their children, Keith (Vicki) Barlow, West Haven; Ken (Emily) Barlow, Roy; Sheryl, deceased, (Gary) Sase, Clinton; Bethann (Brandt) Thompson, Riverside; Raedene (Marv) Harker, Shelley, ID; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl, three brothers, Glen (Mable) Barlow, Elwyn (Helen) Barlow, Keith Barlow, two sisters, Ruth (Calvin) Hooper, and Lois (Clell) Bateman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday. December 29th at the Roy 9th Ward Chapel, 4250 South 2175 West. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
