Ray Greenwell Hadley
April 8, 1917 ~ March 9, 2015
OGDEN – Ray Greenwell Hadley quietly passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 8, 1917 to Oscar E. and Verna Greenwell Hadley in West Weber, Utah. He lived in Weber County his entire life.
He married the love of his life Margie Ella Taylor on April 23, 1938, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After the death of Margie on October 25, 1986, he met and married Ruth Jeske on June 27, 1988.
Ray was always a hard worker working with his family on the family farm and then hired out on the Southern Pacific Railroad working as a Locomotive Engineer retiring after 37 years of service.
Ray was a stalwart member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in the bishopric of the Ogden 17 th Ward and held many other callings in the later years served by doing much work in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He loved traveling and camping and being with his family.
Ray is survived by his wife of 26 years, children, Vern (Sharon) Hadley, Ken (Georgine) Hadley, Rick (Jill) Hadley; 18 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons; and two sisters, Norene Surage and Jean Brunson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Weber Stake Center, 5855 Skyline Dr, South Ogden. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
