OGDEN a€" Raymond Arthur Collatz, 58, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born August 24, 1949 in Rome, New York, a son of Arthur Lee and Helen Shannon Quackenbush Collatz.

Ray married Janet Lee. They were later divorced. On January 11, 1974, Ray married LaRaye Ann Call in Roy.

He lived in the Ogden area for the past 42 years.

Ray was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked as an auto body and paint repair painter for many years.

Ray enjoyed rebuilding old cars, attending car shows and traveling to different places.

Surviving are his wife LaRaye of Ogden; three sons and two daughters, Stacey (Camille) Collatz, Layton; Tracey Collatz, North Ogden; Ray (Leann) Collatz, Logan; Monica Collatz, Ogden; Tammy Collatz, Layton; and 12 grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Lee Francis, Ogden; Christin (Mitch) Smith, Georgia; Dawn Collatz, New York.

Preceding him in death were a grandson Michael and his parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the North Ogden 12th Ward Chapel, 1791 North 600 East.
