Raymond Joseph Corley
Raymond Joseph Corley, 91, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009.
He was born February 2, 1917 in Salt Lake City the son of Otis William and Ruby Frances Helena Buckley Corley.
Raymond served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Raymond married Frances Virginia Bolton on May 20, 1941 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She preceded him in death on November 29, 1966. He married Betty June Chadwick on November 4, 1967 in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2007.
He enjoyed motorcycles, owning his own shop, riding horses in the Palomino Club for many years, camping and driving cars anywhere, anytime. He loved dogs, especially Sammy who left this world just before him. Surviving are two sons, Ronald Bolton (Shauna) Corley, Raymond Joseph (Flo) Corley Jr., daughter, Cheryl Maur (Ronald) Galli, five step-sons, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Elysian Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 So., Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
