Raymond Paul Evans was born May 20, 1982 in Ogden, Utah and returned to his Heavenly Father April 23, 2021.
He attended Northridge High School in Layton but received his diploma from Ogden High School in 2000. He was an expert marksman and placed in 2 National Competition's. Ray lived in Idaho, Layton and Ogden, Utah as well as Sinclair and Rock Springs, Wyoming. Ray was a wonderful cook/chef, kept us all very well fed and always wanted to please everyone with his cooking skills. He loved experimenting with new food combinations. He loved the outdoors, especially being at the family cabin, taking his dogs and kids fishing, teaching them to shoot, cut wood, and ride four-wheelers. He was and always will be a Great Father and Husband. His great sense of humor always kept us laughing and happy.
Ray is survived by his wife Rachel L. (Cosgrove) Evans, son Gage Ray Evans, daughter Shaylee Rae Evans, son Elijah Anthony (Bubba) Trujillo, and daughter Elyana Destini Mendez of Rock Springs, WY.
Also surviving are his parents H. Paul and (Vivo) Vivian H. (Hare) Evans, Teresa (Ulloa) Childs, siblings; Brian and Corinna L. (Evans) Barnes of ID; Jason B. and Julie (Schwartz) Porter of WY; Shawn A. and Trisha Porter of AZ; Melinda M. Porter of UT: Daniel J. Evans of UT; Cody and Sabrina A. (Evans) Conner of UT; Sarah J. Muncy-Evans of UT; Brian and Vicky L.(Hutchison) Small of UT; David M. and Sandra M. (Hutchison) Chase of AL; Thomas L R Hutchison of UT; Brandon and Brenda A. (Young) Slater of AZ; Katie M. (Cosgrove) Bates of UT; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by all his loving grandparents, an uncle, cousins and his dog Lucy. His dog Flex will miss him greatly.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs, Wyoming on Monday, May 3, 2021.
