Raymond Gallegos

Our beloved Raymond Gallegos, 89, passed away at his home on January 16, 2025. Ray was born in Durango, Colorado on April 6, 1935, to Delia Trujillo and Don Gallegos, and had two sisters, Olympia Gallegos and Stella Yee.

Raymond resided at the Futures Through Choices Mountain Meadows Group Home where he was loved dearly by his staff and his roommates.

Ray was a quiet, humble and kind man who loved going out to eat, especially to McDonald’s, KFC and Chuck-a-Rama. Ray also loved movies with popcorn, coffee, rides in the van, candy, baseball, putting hot sauce on nearly everything, The Lion King, and wearing his trademark dapper attire of flannel shirts, jeans, suspenders and his knit hats.

There will be a Graveside Service honoring Raymond on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, go to McDonald’s for a hamburger, french fries and an apple pie in his memory. It was one of Ray’s favorites.
