Raymond LaMont Keller
SYRACUSE a" Raymond LaMont Keller returned to his Father in Heaven on Saturday, August 30, 2008. He passed away unexpectedly at Davis Hospital. He was born June 29, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Lamont Henry and Rose Baird Keller.
He was raised and attended schools in the Ogden area and graduated from Ogden High School in 1948. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base, retiring after 41 years of service. He married his sweetheart Marlene Cook in 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They shared over 55 years together raising their family in Syracuse.
He enjoyed his family most and blessed the lives of those around him. He was always looking for ways to serve others. He loved doing genealogy and temple work and served for 16 years in the Ogden LDS Temple. He and his wife also served for 4 years as local ministering missionaries. In addition he loved raising horses, hunting, fishing and watching the Utah Jazz with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Brenda Keller Clark.
He is survived by his wife Marlene, son David (Marilyn) Keller of Syracuse; daughter Diane (Brian) Allred of Syracuse; daughter Gail (York) Zentner of Layton/Mountain Green, 10 grandchildren: Cami, Austin and Allison Keller; Anthony and Tavia Iarossi and Briana, Andrew and Brent Allred; Parker and McKenna Zentner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 3rd Ward LDS Chapel, 2700 So. and 1000 W. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
