Raymond W. Martin
BOUNTIFUL – Raymond William Martin’s soul left this world at his home, in the arms of his beloved Bets, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He said goodbye in the same way he lived his life with grace, honor and the quiet gentility of a TRULY GREAT man. He never declared his nobility, he didn’t have to. He lived it in thought, word, and deed. His glow lit up the life of anyone and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him
He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Bonneville #31, and Bethsaida Chapter #22, Bountiful. He was also a member of the Bountiful Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Peter R. Martin and Grace Martin and his two “baby” brothers Ross and Roy. Also, his precious granddaughter Amy Joy Wordelman Dubbeld.
He wedded the love of his life and joux de vivre Betty Jane Trythall Martin, August 5, 1951, who he courted and romanced several years during his service in the US Navy. Their relationship was inspiring to all who saw them together. This love and devotion to each other was unsurpassed by any obstacle they ever encountered. Yes, there were many. He left behind to meet him once again, his best friend and lover Betty Jane, his two daughters who worshipped his kind gentility, Dana Marie Clark and Leeann Martin Frew. His glorious grandchildren Paul D.Wordelman, Leon A. (Fro) Frew, SPC Zachary N. Frew, Laura M. Scott, Isaac (Iza) Frew, Erik M.Clark, Jessie Ann Frew, Jane E. Clark, and Shelsea B. Frew. His special babies, his great grandchildren Renee L. Dubbeld, Alexa J. Dubbeld, Ramond W. Wordelman, Tyson J. Scott, Amy Joy Wordelman, Aaron S. Wordelman, Kilik E. Frew, Mercy Ann Frew and Samantha M. Scott.
