Ray passed away peacefully at home in the care of his loving family on Saturday, April 30, 2011. He enjoyed 91 wonderful years including being married to the love of his life, Marjorie Ogden, for 70 years. He died from natural causes associated with his age and existing health problems.
Ray was known by most, for his 40 years dedicated to managing Roy Lumber Company. He was very active with the home builders association and respected by all involved with him for his incredible knowledge of this business.
Ray and Marjorie were married in 1940, just shortly before Ray served two years in the infantry during World War II.
He received many medals, commendations and recognition for his outstanding marksmanship.
Ray is survived by his wife, Marjorie, two sons and their wives, Ron and Marilyn Ogden, Jeffery and Christine Ogden, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha Ogden, his son Michael Ogden, and 15 brothers and sisters.
The family extends a special thank you to Cynthia and Brandy from Vista Care Hospice for all of their special care.
Honoring our father''s request, there will be no viewing or formal funeral.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service is certainly welcome. There will be no gathering of any kind after the services.
