Raymond D Postel

Ray was born July 21, 1934 in Ogden, Utah at his grandmother’s home. The first child to his parents, Raymond J. and Verna Reynolds Postel. He passed away November 15, 2023. He spent most of his life in Ogden attending Ogden City Schools with his brother Len and sister Barbara.

Ray retired from Ogden City Water. He loved to take long road trips with his wife into his 80s and play softball and golf with his sons in his younger years.

He married Edna Jane Roten on June 19, 1953 in Ogden. They have five children Cindy, Doug, Tami, Mike, and Ray III.

Ray is survived by his wife of 70 years, Enda; his children, Cindy (John) Purcell, Doug, Mike (Lynette), and Ray (Lauren); 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tami; daughter-in-law, Brenda; parents; and grandparents.

Dad was a loving husband, father, granddad, and friend to many. We will all miss him.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
